Wanted to update everyone what's going on here at the HWforum. The long and short of it is that a new groups of folks (two couples to be exact) are now at the helm. The previous owners kept this site up and running for us all for a long time, but unfortunately got overwhelmed in their own lives recently, and have decided that they can no longer continue. We are actually two former moderators who have recently been contacted by the former owners of this site, Greg and Pam, to take over the HWforum. They are moving onto other things in their lives and can't be involved in the regular workings. The deal that we worked out is that the four of us would take over 1/2 the cost of the bandwidth and they graciously agreed to host for free the other half. We were all surprised at the cost, quite frankly. This was an important aspect when we found out the real cost of hosting a site such as this. They probably should have done something sooner rather than let the forum go the way it has of late, but that's neither here nor there now.

While we agreed with a lot of how they ran the forum, we (obviously since we left) did have some problems with some aspects of it and disagreed with some - that's part of why we left. Overall though, the way of moderating will remain the same. Moderators will stay anonymous to the forum, keeping personalities off the discussion board.

Our goal is to return the forum back to what it was, a place to share experiences and questions, and to build the community for those who are both new to the lifestyle and those of us who may be exploring or simply enjoying this kink. To do that, we will be real strict with keeping postings on-topic, being brutal with deletions if need be to get the forum back on track.

We will also be getting rid of some of the extra stuff. We're going to kill the wife pages and get rid of other links and parts of the site that have been long since neglected. We want to concentrate on the core of what it was before.

We would like to get more participation on what you would like to see included and we will be opening up a new forum for that. We will take your suggestions under consideration but remember Rome wasn't rebuilt in a day, and definitely are looking for some help in moderating. The current small group of moderators will be welcoming postings that are on-topic with the name of the forum - Hot Wives. Any off-topic postings; attempts to spam to other forums or sites free or not; replies that are considered by us to be rude to others; illegal etc. etc. will be deleted. More guidelines to follow, but for now you get the idea. We too are unpaid and do this voluntarily because we enjoy this lifestyle and want to see the HW Forum continue. It has helped many of us over the years.

Know that many things are currently being revamped and in the meantime we will be setting up a new forum for your ideas and input. Just because you suggest something does not mean that it will be done. However, all ideas are most welcome and will be considered. For now, continue to use the Hotspots for Personals. The ability to post comments on the photo wall will be gone for now.
